Cloud Atlas (2012)

this movie seemed interesting based on the trailers

I had a hard time following along the general plot and theme of the movie and how each timeframe relates to each other.

as of now, this movie gets two stars. I really hate watching movies more than once because I usually almost remembers the plot details which just sours the movie watching experience. It's no fun watching something when you know what plot twists are coming ahead. But for this movie, I was simply lost in the woods. I understood the mini-stories that occurs in each in each era of time, but how everything relates....I'm not clear on. So this movie will probably one of those rare movies where I might watch it more than once.

the rest of the stuff was okay. decent acting, some funny scenes, some disturbing scenes, good settings etc.

at the end of the day, I watch movies and read books for the plot. If the plot confuses me (which is something that is diffuclt to do, I assure you) then you get a crappy rating. Maybe this movie is a work of genius and I'm too dumb to understand it (very unlikely)...but till I figure it out....two stars.
